Director/Producer Rick Wilkinson is a 4-time Emmy Award winner who has traveled the world, covering the many of the pivotal news events of our times as a producer for Nightline. Although continues keep one foot in the hard news world, has expanded into the world of filmmaking. His first film, A Short Wait Between Trains was awarded prizes at more than a dozen major national and international film festivals including the Sundance Cultural Spirit Award and the RKO Award at the Hamptons Film Festival.

He also produced a documentary short Life With The 3-2, a chronicle of the 40 days that he spent as an embedded journalist for ABC News with a front line marine infantry battalion during the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Journey Into Sunset is Rick's second collaboration in Africa with Don Cheadle.

Producer John Prendergast is a Special Adviser to the President at the International Crisis Group (ICG). Prior to joining ICG, he was a Special Adviser to the U.S. State Department focusing on conflict resolution in Africa. He also was Director of African Affairs at the National Security Council.

John has worked for a variety of think tanks, UN agencies and NGOs in Africa and on African issues, including the U.S. Institute of Peace, Human Rights Watch, and UNICEF. He is the author of seven books on Africa, including ICG's latest book on Sudan, God, Oil & Country: Changing the Logic of War in Sudan, as well as its new book on southern Africa, Blood and Soil: Land, Politics and Conflict Prevention in Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Composer Daniel Nielsen began his professional musical career as a teenager performing with legendary jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. A graduate of California Institute of the Arts, Daniel studied composition with Pulitzer Prize winning composer Mel Powell. Daniel began his career composing for film and television while working for Walt Disney Studios. Contributing on feature film and television productions such as End of Days, Armageddon, Go Go Gadget, Enemy of the State, Mulan, Flubber, Hercules and Aladdin.

Editor-Sally Benson As a news editor her network broadcast credits include Nightline, 20/20, Good Morning America and World News Tonight on ABC, She has also cut for Dateline, the Today Show, and Nightly News on NBC and Public Broadcasting in Los Angeles.

As a post production editor she cut shows for the History Channel's "Civil War Combat" series, the "Tales Of The Gun" series, "Haunted History" and "The Big House: Prisons In America".

She has also cut shows for the Discovery Channel, the Travel Channel and MSNBC. She also edited "The Unfinished Civil War" which was the first prize winner in the documentary category at Houston Worldfest and The Sidewalk Film Festival in Alabama.

Don Cheadle Since being named the Best Supporting Actor by the Los Angeles Film Critics for his breakout performance opposite Denzel Washington in DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS, Don Cheadle has consistently turned in powerful performances on the stage and screen.

Last year, Cheadle was nominated for an Academy Award as best actor in HOTEL RWANDA, the true story of a hotel manager who saves hundreds from slaughter during Rwanda's

genocidal massacres of 1994. The film won top honors at the 2004 Toronto and AFI Film Festivals and garnered Cheadle Golden Globe Award, Broadcast Film Critics Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for best actor, as well.

He was also featured in the successful independent ensemble film CRASH, alongside Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon and Thandie Newton. Written and directed by Paul Haggis (Oscar-nominated writer of MILLION DOLLAR BABY), Cheadle also produced the film, which took this year's Oscar for best picture.

Other feature credits include OCEAN'S ELEVEN, OCEAN'S TWELVE, TRAFFIC, OUT OF SIGHT and BOOGIE NIGHTS. And his television credits include an Emmy-nominated arc on E.R. and a Golden Globe-winning performance as Sammy Davis, Jr. in HBO's film THE RAT PACK.
